The oil skid removes corn oil from the syrup stream.  The oil is then sold as feed.

In July 2005, GLE began remodeling the Administration Building. Improvements included the addition of a Conference Room, repainting of offices, etc.

August 6, 2005 was the annual "Parade of Tractors" sponsored by Clark, SD in light of their "Potato Days" celebration. Allen Wells of GLE entered our Massie Ferguson Tractor in the parade which drove from Waterotwn, SD to Clark, SD.

GLE participated in the annual Watertown Fourth of July Parade 2005 with their entry "Ethanol-America's Idol".

On the back of the float for the Waterotwn Fourth of July Parade 2005 hung the American Flag made with "American oil"....corn. Flag designed by Mary Dailey.

May 20, 2005 Col John Phillips of the Waitt Radio network, along with Jim Thorson of KWAT Radio in Watertown broadcasted live from GLE.

GLE sponsors numerous events including the ever popular "Yellow Dime Days" where customers are given back a dime for every gallon of ethanol they purchase. GLE was onsite pumping gas and serving lunch.

GLE entered "Hillbilly Christmas" in the 2004 Uptown Watertown Holiday Lighted Parade where they took the "Mayor's Choice" Award.
