From a dream to reality. . . 2003-2004
- February 2003- Modifications are made to the plant

2003- GLE partners with Thunder Road of Watertown
to convert all the go-carts to E-85 ethanol blend
- June 2003-GLE continues
to produce over name plate capacity at a 45 mgpy rate
- August 2003-Commodity
marketer moved in-house for local and truck distillers. Plans made
to promote "Rising Star Feeds" as a co-product of GLE.
- October 2003 - New
wet cake pad
- January 2004 - Annual meeting for GLCP with presentation
of information for potential expansion at GLE.
- March 2004 - Board
approves construction of three new 492,000 bushel steel bins for
additional storage to be completed by harvest, 2004.
- April 2004 - RTO and
Fifth centrifuge installed. Commodity Merchandiser hired.
- July 4, 2004 - The
GLE 1947 Farmall tractor appears in the Watertown parade pulling
the first prize winning Ethanol float. The tractor traveled to Clark
Potato Days and will be seen at special future events.
- July 2004 Agreement
to invest $6,500,000 for 25% ownership of Granite Falls Community
Ethanol Plant, LLC("GFCEP") in Granite Falls, Minnesota. Agreements
for management of construction and operations of the plant.
- July 2004 Agreement
to purchase units from GLC. With this transaction, GLCP has 100%
ownership of GLE.
- October 2004 GLCP
stock split.
- November 2004 A record
corn harvest filled the 3 new grain bins.
- November 2004 Hillbilly
Christmas Float wins Grand Marshall's Award in Holiday Lighted Parade.
- November 2004 A record corn harvest filled the 3 new grain bins.
- December 2004 First Annual Family Day held at GLE
