• February 2006 - GLE announces plans to build ethanol plant in Aberdeen, SD
• January 2006 - GLCP holds Annual Membership Meeting where plans to double the size of GLE are announced
• December 2005 - GLE holds Annual Employee Appreciation Christmas Party
• November 2005 - Granite Falls Energy begins production
• November 29, 2005 - Redfield Energy Ground Breaking
• November 14, 2005 - Granite Falls Energy begins production
• November 5, 2005 - GLE achieves safety award of three years with no "lost time accidents
• October 31, 2005 - Granite Falls Energy receives first loads of corn
• October 2005 - Wanzek Construction began concrete & piping work for addition of fourth Fermentor
• September 2005 - Glacial Lakes Energy, LLC assists with Equity Drive for Redfield Energy, LLC in Watertown, Redfield, and Aberdeen.
  
• August 5, 2005—President George W. Bush signs the Renewable Fuels Standard bill mandating 7.5 billon gallons of ethanol by 2012.
• August 2005 - GLE hosts Annual Employee Picnic at Thunder Road in Watertown, SD
• August 2005 - Glacial Lakes Energy, LLC signs management agreement with Redfield Energy, LLC in Redfield, SD.
• July 2005 - Construction begins on Administration Office expansion and remodeling.
• July 2005 - Oil Skid Separator begins production.  The oil is separated from the syrup in the ethanol process.
• July 2005 - GLE enters in Watertown's Parade with "Ethanol - America's Idol" appearing at the corn palace.
• July 2005 - Construction begins on the Administration Building to add a conference room and office.
• June 2005 - Tom Branhan elected first president of EPIC
• June 2005 - GLE agrees to invest in Redfield Energy and will manage the construction and operations of the plant. Construction to begin by the end of 2005.
• April 2005 - DENR recognizes the GLE Wastewater Treatment System for Operation and
  Maintenance Excellence
• April 2005 - First Annual Granite Falls Energy meeting held at Prairie's Edge Casino
• March 2005 - GLE joins EPIC (Ethanol Promotion Information Council)
  
• March 2005 - Newspaper 12 month advertising campaign promoting the ethanol industry begins
