- April 14 - GLE holds Yellow Dime Day at Sioux Valley Coop on Hwy 212 in Watertown
- The South Dakota Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) announces that the Glacial Lakes Energy LLC (ethanol plant in Watertown, SD) wastewater treatment system is a recipient of the 2005 Industrial Operation and Maintenance Excellence Award. This award is for outstanding wastewater system operation and environmental compliance with its state surface water discharge permit for the past year.
- GLE receives the “South Dakota Industrial Wastewater Excellence Award” for the second year in a row
- Sioux Valley Coop installs Blender Pumps on Hwy 212. Consumers have the option to purchase fuel E10, E20, E30 or E85 ethanol blended fuel
